A Bit About Gilbert
Gilbert is our Shabeb Play for Peace Coordinator. He is dedicated to using sports and community-building activities to help turn conflict into opportunities for learning and growth. With a love for football and sports in general, he connects with children and youth, teaching them valuable lessons in teamwork, respect, and inclusion. Through his work, Gilbert creates spaces where young people from diverse backgrounds can come together, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.
As a senior member of ASR, Gilbert plays a key role in developing and leading programs that empower young people and promote peace within communities. His focus is on creating experiences that go beyond just fun activities, ensuring that they are meaningful and have a lasting impact. Gilbert’s passion for helping others and fostering understanding is at the heart of everything he does.
Outside of his work with Play for Peace, Gilbert also has a love for animals (he holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering) which reflects his compassionate nature. His dedication to creating positive change and inspiring others to join in the effort for a more peaceful, inclusive world continues to make a difference in the lives of those he works with.
